The BCCI has cleared Rishabh Pant to play as a wicketkeeper-batsman. Deba, March 12, 2024 The BCCI’s fitness and medical teams have cleared Rishabh Pant, Delhi Capitals’ captain, to keep wickets in the IPL 2024. Mohammed Shami and Prasidh Krishna, both fast bowlers, have been ruled out of the event. KL Rahul, the Lucknow Super Giants’ designated captain, has not played since the first Test against England in January owing to a quadriceps tendon injury. Prasidh, who underwent surgery on his left proximal quadriceps tendon, will begin his recovery at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru. Shami, who just had surgery for a heel ailment, has no return date scheduled. Pant, who last played senior cricket in December 2022, was involved in a car accident that left him with a severe right knee injury as well as fractures to his wrist and ankle.
