Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan lost their BCCI contracts. Deba, February 28, 2024 The BCCI has expanded its list of contracted players from 26 to 30, with Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan not included in the top 30. Iyer, a key performer in India’s World Cup final, lost his Grade B contract despite fulfilling minimum criteria. Kishan, who had a Grade C contract last year, has played only two ODIs and three T20Is in the current cycle. BCCI stated that all athletes give precedence to participating in domestic cricket during periods when they are not representing the national team. The second tier of central contracts (Grade A) includes R Ashwin, Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj, KL Rahul, Shubman Gill, and Hardik Pandya. Yashasvi Jaiswal, a 22-year-old, has been added to Grade B, marking his first BCCI central contract.
