Prithvi Shaw will return to Ranji after a long absence due to injury. Deba, February 2, 2024 Following a six-month injury layoff, Indian batsman Prithvi Shaw is scheduled to make his competitive cricket comeback. He was included in Mumbai’s team to play Bengal in the fifth round of the 2023–24 Ranji Trophy. During a county stint with Northamptonshire in August, Shaw, 24, had a knee injury that required surgery in London. After a fitness test, the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru cleared him. Over the last 18 months, Shaw’s results have been inconsistent. During the previous Ranji Trophy season, he scored 595 runs in ten innings. Midway through the season, he was dropped from the Delhi Capitals starting lineup after scoring just 106 runs in eight innings.
