Ben Stokes after his knee surgery recovery Deba, January 24, 2024 After a major knee surgery, former England cricketer Ben Stokes reportedly lost weight and moved up to the middleweight division in less than 50 days. Stokes has been coy about the status of his left knee for a long time, putting off surgery out of fear and a sense of responsibility to England. The operation entailed sutures to reinforce the meniscus and the removal of a bone spur. Stokes’ pre-operative regimen was to lose weight since he would heal more quickly the lighter he was. Thanks to lifestyle modifications like cutting out on alcohol and grafting, he has shed 8–10 kg.
