Bairstow outperforms Narine as Punjab Kings achieve record breaking chase Deba, April 27, 2024 With 262 runs and 24 sixes, Punjab Kings set the record for the most successful chase in T20 history against the Kolkata Knight Riders. Jonny Bairstow scored his second IPL century, and Shashank Singh and Sunil Narine contributed to the team’s outstanding totals. Despite a lack of balls in the sixth over, Prabhsimran Singh dominated the chase, scoring 54 off 20 deliveries. Bairstow was dropped by PBKS after scoring only 96 runs in his first six innings this season. He did, however, get some help in the ninth over when Roy dropped him, allowing Varun Chakravarthy to score six runs.
