Jack Leach is out of the remaining Test series. Deba, February 11, 2024 A knee injury has kept Jack Leach out of England’s Test match against India. The ailment happened during the Hyderabad first Test and got worse on the second day. Leach was restricted in his movement and could not bowl for the rest of the Test. He was not allowed to play in the second Test, which India won to level the series in Visakhapatnam. Leach will miss the final three Tests and return home for additional treatment. Throughout his tenure, Leach has been Ben Stokes’ go-to spinner, therefore England won’t be selecting a successor. With Joe Root serving as the team’s only all-rounder, England’s spin options are now restricted to the youthful combination of Rehan Ahmed, Tom Hartley, and Shoaib Bashir.
